**ASL Lounge**
The ASL Lounge is a dynamic space where American Sign Language (ASL) takes center stage. Picture it as an oasis within another event – a vibrant, expressive corner that we seamlessly integrate into larger gatherings like the Annual Seattle Pride Festival and On The Block Event -Capitol Hill (May -October). Whether you’re fluent in ASL or just getting started, the ASL Lounge is a welcoming environment for all, promoting connection and understanding through sign language. As we welcome 2024, consider immersing yourself in the beauty of ASL, a language that transcends boundaries and celebrates diversity.
**Voices Off Events**
In contrast, the Voices Off Events provide a unique atmosphere where verbal communication takes a backseat. These events are carefully curated as designated spaces for individuals to turn off their voices and explore alternative modes of communication. This intentional shift from verbal to non-verbal communication creates a safe and inclusive environment. Participants are encouraged to express themselves through gestures, written and typed words, and, of course, ASL. The Voices Off Events are designed to be a sanctuary where everyone feels heard, regardless of their preferred mode of expression. As we enter the new year, let’s embark on a journey to discover the power of alternative communication and create connections that go beyond words.

Donations may be allocated to support Certified Deaf Interpreters, DeafBlind interpreters and support, ASL interpreters from marginalized communities, as well as fund requests for event access for Black Lives Matter (BLM) and various marginalized community events.
