Though it is true that some Deaf people do not enjoy music, do not assume this is true for all! Many Deaf people enjoy the vibrations that come with music, and feel the beat through the floor or speakers. This can make songs with stronger bass more popular among the Deaf community. Some Deaf people or ASL users have residual hearing, or can hear with the help of hearing aids. It is also possible that certain pitches can be heard, making some music more enjoyable than others. Hearing isn’t the only way to enjoy music, keep your mind open to all the different ways people can enjoy all aspects of life and sound!
