National Deaf LGBTQ+ Awareness Week, held each April since 2018, promotes understanding and solidarity for Deaf LGBTQ+ individuals. Established by the Deaf Queer Resource Center, it highlights intersectional challenges like discrimination and communication barriers. This year, Visually Speaking in Seattle offers four events including Signaraoke and online socials, creating a platform for celebration and support within the community. Allies can engage via social media using #DeafLGBTQWeek and by donating to the Deaf Queer Resource Center.
