Silent Immersion To Learn ASL, Why?

Did you know ASL is not a direct translation of English? 

Although ASL is “American” Sign Language, signing in American English does not translate exactly the same from the syntax of English speakers.

This is why Visually Speaking believes silent immersion is the ultimate way to learn ASL.
