Full language immersion has recently proven to be a very efficient and beneficial way to learn a second language, but why is this? Immersion creates an interesting and fun environment for both students and teachers! Students in second language immersion programs show a higher capability of identifying and understanding linguistics of both languages, making them often more proficient in writing and reading of their first language. Without being able to revert to your native language, you are forced to find new ways to communicate. In a Sign Language classroom, this could include facial expressions, body language, and gestures. Many of our classes are immersion environments, to help you learn signs quickly and challenge yourself! You will find new ways to pass on ideas that you never thought of before, and have fun while you’re at it!
