Receive an honorarium for your services at BLM protests, rallies, and marches.
Funds will be distributed within 30 days of submission. Awards are intended for ASL interpreters in marginalized populations, DeafBlind interpreters and Certified Deaf Interpreters, please share this program to those communities. The honorarium is also available to BIPOC students currently enrolled in an Interpreter Training Program.
At this time, Visually Speaking is committed to donating $100 once a month to selected organizations and individuals who fit the criteria.

- description of the event – Name of the event, location, city and state. Please provide a link or image of the online flyer.
- picture of you at the event, preferably a working image
- a link to your Facebook for background check
- If you don’t have Facebook, provide a short biography and a friend on Facebook that can vouch for the services you provided.
- Your preferred method of receiving online payment and your identifier; we offer Zelle, Cash app and PayPal.
Your information will not be shared. We will be conducting a certification search using a the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
Visually Speaking believes certified ASL interpreters should be compensated for their expertise in the field of activism. We all need to do the work to support and encourage those who provide access to the ASL community.
A Call for donations –
Donations will be distributed to ASL interpreters from marginalized communities, DeafBlind interpreters, Certified Deaf Interpreters and coordinators for various BLM events.
Any funds in excess, will be used for tokens of appreciation for assistance, scholarship fund for DeafQueer BIPOC talent and future ASL Lounge/Events for the Deaf.
