Beginning Sign Language Class
This class is for the student with NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE using sign language. The course will cover: fingerspelling the alphabet, asking questions, numbers, relationships, time, and colors.

American Sign Language (ASL) is an invaluable skill for everyone and fun to learn. Learning sign language is a great way to teach diversity awareness, cultural perspectives, and how to communicate when they meet a Deaf person. A basic grasp of ASL enhances your ability to communicate with Deaf in your community. It’s also a marketable professional skill that can translate into public service jobs. In just 6 weeks your fingers will be flying!
Ideal for those with or without previous experience, this course taught by T, will begin with fingerspelling the alphabet with an introduction to basic conversational signing and facial expressions. We will play games to reinforce basic ASL vocabulary and grammar appropriate for use in multiple settings. Learning ASL is not as difficult as it seems, it’s fun! This class is for beginners and beyond, maybe you want to brush up on your skills, this is the class for you! Come prepared for the silent classroom experience!
