Visually Speaking is now providing american sign language classes online, learn in your own home! This is a small interactive class, we keep our enrollment under 10 students for a more hands on learning experience.
For more than two decades, the Deaf signing community has relied on visual communication through online means with our videophones and videoconferencing technology. Now, we are using our cultural practices to open up our digital world to you.

In 6 weeks, you will learn the following:
How to Fingerspell your ABC’s
How to ask questions – for example:
asking for a cutie’s number.
setting up a time for zoom dates.
Basic signs such as the beautiful luminous colors of the rainbow.
American Sign Language (ASL) is an invaluable skill for everyone and fun to learn. Learning this unique language brings you to a new cultural awareness about the Deaf Community. You open up a new world filled with new people to meet and to develop different types of relationships.
Having a basic grasp on sign language will enhance your ability to interact with a variety of people who rely on sign language as their main mode of communication. Level up.

Donations may be allocated to support Certified Deaf Interpreters, DeafBlind interpreters and support, ASL interpreters from marginalized communities, as well as fund requests for event access for Black Lives Matter (BLM) and various marginalized community events.
