HUH? …park(ing) day? What’s that?
PARK(ing) Day is a worldwide event which occurs on the 3rd Friday each September. “The mission of PARK(ing) Day is to call attention to the need for more urban open space, to generate critical debate around how public space is created and allocated, and to improve the quality of urban human habitat.
Visually Speaking will have one parking spot designated as our park. The purpose of our park is to provide an ASL friendly space. Silent immersion is vital for Deaf culture, please use alternative modes of communication.
Bring your friends, games, dogs, etc. Have lunch outside, why not!?
12 Noon – one of our fabulous instructors, Kero will be on hand to provide a free 30 minute ASL class. All levels welcome!
2 pm – how about joining us for a silent game of telephone? The outcomes hilarious, guaranteed laughter!
